FTP stuff to servers from the Graphical User Interface (GUI) or FTP stuff from a command line.
You can put a configuration file on the command line, and if you do, FTPer will execute the transfer, and exit.
FTPer uses the Windows FTP function.
FTPer will take out all of the spaces and commas out of the file name before sending the files.
FTPer will automatically set the Windows clipboard to the URLs to download the files you just uploaded to a web site.
This is good for experts, IT folks, and easy enough for pretty much anyone to use! Try it out and you will see what we mean.
To load or change a configuration file, just drill down on it and double click the file in question.
You can use the Folder and File box to select a configuration file. The Configuration file was have a .ft extension. You can select a configuration file by double clicking any existing file or you can just type in the Config File Name box. Example: dr
You can change the name of the FTP batch file, but you can leave it at c:\occc\ftper.txt. If there is any chance that you will have more than one FTPer running at a time, you should change the configuration batch files so that no two files will bump heads.
Type in the User ID. This will start off set to Anonymous
Type in a Password: The starting Password is Anonymous
Local Path should be the folder that you want to send files from. Example: C:\occcsa\coffeejoe
Remote Path should be the actual path after you connect to the server. Example: /public_html/coffeejoe
Main Download Link is going the be the URL not counting the file names that will be put in automatically. Example: http://occcsa.com/coffeejoe/
Remote Computer Name is the name of the remote computer. Example:occcsa.com
File Name Pattern should be all text that you want to match a file name for, such as *.txt for text files, *.htm for htm files, *.* for all files, *.exe, *.msi, for executable files. You can have several matches listed here. Example:
*.gif
*.jpg
*.htm
*.mp3
*.asx
You can execute the FTP in real time by clicking the Execute FTP button.
You can use FTPer on with command line support, such as c:\exe\ftper1.exe cj
When you use FTPer with the command line, the FTP is automatically executed.
